Deira City Centre

One of the oldest shopping malls in Dubai, it is located near the Port Saeed Road waterfront. Here you’ll find major brands of clothing, electronics, ornaments, rugs, silk, cashmere and a lot more. Getting here is easy, either take a metro to Deira City Centre, a shuttle bus from either of the 11 major hotels in the city or a direct cab.

  1. Gold SoukGold Souk

One of the most famous souk in Dubai, a visit here is a must even if you have no intention of buying Gold. Located in Deira, next to the Dubai Creek, it is home to many jewellery shops and can be easily spotted. If you think you’re lost, just ask the locals for directions, you’ll be on track in no time.

  1. Perfume Souk

Right from local Arabic ittars to branded international fragrances, Perfume Souk is the most aromatic destination for shopping in Dubai. You can also check out some scented incenses in their rock, crystal or powder form. If you’re heading here, ditch the car due to lack of parking space and take the metro to Al Ras Metro Station instead. Most Dubai packages will include this souk in their travel itinerary, making it close to impossible to miss this spot.

  1. Meena Bazar

Right from wedding jewellery to luxurious textiles and furniture, Meena Bazar has it all. Simply take the metro until Al – Fahidi Metro Station and you’re at the spot.

  1. Mall of the EmiratesMall of Emirates

Hosting more than 470 premium stores of fashion, sports, lifestyle, electronic and home decor brands, Mall of Emirates was named the World’s Leading New Shopping Mall at the World Travel Awards in London. What makes a visit here unique is the Ski Resort that must be visited to relax once you’re done shopping for the day. Getting here is as simple as taking the metro to the Mall of Emirates Station and then a skywalk to the mall itself.

  1. Ibn Battuta Mall

One of the largest themed malls in the world, the Ibn Battuta Mall has 6 major sections (India, China, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia and Andalusia) within its structure. It has close to 275 shops with each section depicting the regions Battuta travelled. To get here, simply take the metro and get off at the Ibn Battuta Mall Station.
