  • Passport – Attach your current passport and ensure that it has at least 2 (TWO) blank pages in it. Make sure that this passport’s validity extends at least 180 days from the date you plan to fly into Sweden.
  • Photographs – Attach 2 (TWO) passport sized (35 mm x 45 mm) photographs, with a white background. Make sure that the photograph has been taken within the last 3 months.
  • Flight details – Attach copies of your flight tickets, arrival, and departure, for travelling to Sweden (or the Schengen Region in general). This should clearly state the date you plan to arrive in Sweden and leave the country, as well.
  • Proof of Accommodation – Attach copies of confirmation of your hotel bookings or other accommodation arrangements.
  • Travel insurance – Attach a copy of the valid travel insurance policy you have bought before applying for the visa. This is a mandatory formality for travelling to the Schengen Region for all outsiders.
  • Proof of Subsistence – Attach copies of your bank statement which shows you have sufficient funds to cover all expenses while within the Schengen Region.

1. Is travel insurance necessary for my travel to Sweden?

Yes, an effective and valid travel insurance policy is a must according to Schengen visa regulations. It should be valid for the entirety of your stay in the Schengen Region and should provide a cover of minimum GBP 30,000, or more.
