The palace is 108 meters long and 24 meters high.  You must never leave the palace without checking the garden which is called as the “Walled oasis in the heart of London.” It has a wide range of flora and fauna along with a wide range of feathered friends kept as royal pets.

2. The Royal Palace Of Brussels, Belgium

 

The royal palace of Belgium is one of the most beautiful castles in Europe, located in the capital city of Brussels. Built by King Leopold II in 1900, it is home of many political organisations. The building is used for receptions and official meetings and has a longer façade than the Buckingham Palace in London.

3. Windsor Castle, Berkshire

The palace was built after the invasion of Norman in 1066; this is one of the largest inhabited and longest occupied castles in Europe. The Palace has served many purposes over the centuries such as protecting the outskirts of London to sheltering the Royal Family during the World War II bombing campaigns. Today the Palace is used mainly for hosting state visits and acts as an official summer residence for Her Majesty the Queen and the best part is that you can still visit the castle while the queen is residing there.

4. Castillo de Coca, Spain

Situated 55 km south of the city of Valladolid, Spain, this fortress is a wonderful example of Spanish Medieval architecture. Complete with a moat and advanced defensive system, this palace, was built in 1453. It has a been impeccably maintained and stands today practically the same way as it did in the 15th century.  There were numerous failed attempts at capturing the castle, until 1808 when it was captured by Napolean the great. The castles is a true architectural wonder and is a must visit if you are in the area.

5. Drottningholm, Sweden, One of the Palaces in Europe owned by Royal Families

Drottningholm is the royal palace of Sweden and is the residence of the royal family. Located on Lovon Island, ten kilometers outside the city. The Palace can be reached either by car, bus or ferry. It is built in French Baroque style, around the same time as France’s Versailles and is called the ‘Nordic Versailles.’ Also displays a 17th – century opulence that you are unlikely to see elsewhere in Northern Europe.
